Delete your Dugout account

1. How to delete your account

• In the iPhone or Android app: open your profile, choose Delete account, and follow the steps.
• On the web or in the desktop app: open Preferences, then Security, then Delete account. Or go straight to account deletion; you will be asked to sign in first.

To make sure it is you, Dugout asks for your password, or for you to sign in again if you use Apple or Google to sign in, and for the code from your authenticator app if you use one. Then you type DELETE to confirm.

If you are the only owner of a workspace that other people still use, make one of them an owner first, so the workspace keeps someone who can manage it. A workspace nobody else uses is deleted along with your account.

If you cannot sign in, contact us from the email address on the account. We will confirm it is you and delete the account for you.

2. What is deleted

• Your profile: your name, email address, photo, title, and other profile details.
• Your settings and preferences, your status, your drafts, saved items, and reminders.
• Your sign-in methods, the devices and apps signed in to your account, and the API and app tokens that act as you.
• Your private files (My Drive), and what agents remembered about you.
• Workspaces that nobody else uses.

If you signed in with Apple, we also revoke Dugout’s access to your Apple Account.

3. What is kept

• Messages, files, documents, boards, comments, and other content you posted in workspaces shared with other people. That content belongs to the organization that owns the workspace, so it stays, shown as from “Deleted user” with nothing that identifies you.
• Records we have to keep: the organization’s billing and payment records, security and audit logs, and a record that your account was deleted, which holds no personal details.
• If you asked us not to send email to your address, it stays on our suppression list, so that we never email it again.

4. When it happens

• Right away: your account is locked, you are signed out on every device, and you can no longer sign in. Your subscription, if nobody else uses it, is set to end when the period you paid for ends.
• After 30 days: your account and your personal data are deleted for good, and the address can be used to sign up again.
• In between, if it was a mistake, contact us and we can cancel the deletion. You can then sign in again; devices and apps need signing in again too.
